We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Rom. 8:22 (NIV)
When Adam and Eve made the choice to go their own way, they had personal consequences. Men would have hard work and women would have pain in childbirth. But the effects of their actions did not only impact humankind. All of creation was affected also. Not only were humans broken but so was the world around us. Things do not work the way God originally intended. We live in a broken creation.
Prayer: God, thank you that you made all of creation for us to enjoy. Help us to appreciate the world around us, even though it is currently broken. Show us the way we can help improve the world we live in. In Jesus name. Amen.
