You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself. Galatians 5:13-14 (NIV)
God has called us to be free. We are free from sin and death (Romans 8:2). We are free to be who God has called us to be. We are free from our past. We are free to love God and worship Him completely.
Our freedom is not just for ourselves. He frees us so we can serve others. As we serve others, they will witness the love of God. We will show them what freedom looks like. We can show them what it means to not be controlled by their past. Remember – your freedom means you are called to serve.
