Don’t Aggravate Your Children

Don’t Aggravate Your Children

Fathers, do not aggravate your children, or they will become discouraged. Colossians 3:21 (NLT)

Parents have the responsibility of disciplining their children just as God disciplines us, His children. We need to train them in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6). But the discipline should be in love. Lack of discipline could cause the child to feel unloved. Being too harsh can cause them to feel discouraged. While you may have basic house rules for everyone to follow, the way to correct someone who breaks the rules can be different for each child. Ask God to help you with using the appropriate amount and type of discipline with your children to help them become everything God has called them to be.
