“Some seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, MULTIPLYING thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times.” Mark 4:8
If you plant an apple seed, do you only expect to get one apple in return? Of course not! You would expect the seed to grow into an apple tree with a lot of apples. Each apple has multiple seeds capable of growing more apple trees with more apples and apple seeds. The pattern will continue on and on. God created the law of sowing and reaping (see the verse below). He tells us that as long as the earth exists, sowing and reaping will never stop working. This same law is still in effect today. When we sow a seed, we can expect it to multiply.
“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.” Genesis 8:22 (NIV)
God, thank you for the law of sowing and reaping. I can know that when I sow the seeds you gave me in the ground you tell me, they will produce a harvest. I know that the harvest will be bigger than I can imagine because you cause the seed to multiply. Thank you for multiplying the seed I sow to bring your harvest. In Jesus name, Amen.
