So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NLT)
Our time on earth is only temporary. We are only here for a short time when looking at life in the span of eternity. Jesus reminded us that we will have troubles in this life, but He has overcome the world (John 16:33). Knowing that Jesus has already won the war makes it easier for us to face the daily battles. We can focus our eyes on the temporary battle and problems we are facing, or we can fix our gaze on the problem solver.
