These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:32-33 (NLT)
Each of us has a choice in life. We can let figuring out how to meet our needs dominate our thoughts or we can let God’s Word (God’s instructions and promises to us in the Bible) dominate our thoughts. God already knows what we need before we even ask. As we keep our focus on Him, He will provide all our needs.
What are you focusing on? Are you worried about getting things done? Are you worried about preparing for the family gathering? Put your focus on Him.
Prayer:
God, thank you that you know what I need before I even ask. Help me to keep my focus on you instead of my own needs. I want to seek your kingdom first. Thank you for meeting my needs as I fulfill the destiny you have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
