Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1 (NIV)
As parents, we tend to try and set an example of how to behave for our children. We want to teach them the way to behave and how to treat others. We teach them how to be independent when they need to be, but also knowing when to ask for help. Jesus set an example for us to follow also. He showed us the importance of having compassion on others. He tells us to love God and to love others and serve others. It is time to follow by example.
Prayer: God, thank you for sending Jesus to be an example for us. Show me the areas where I need to be more like you. Help me to love you more, and love and serve others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
