Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. Ephesians 1:4-5 (NLT)
We can’t control the circumstances of our families. We are born into a family and learn to live with them. We may not always get along with our parents or siblings but they are the family we are born into. God loved us and chose us to be part of His family. He wanted to adopt us into His family and took pleasure in doing it. This was a decision He made before He created the world. You were chosen in advance to be part of God’s family.
Prayer: God, thank you that you love me and chose me in advance to be part of your family. Thank you for adopting me and making me holy and without fault in your eyes through Christ Jesus. Help me to share your love with others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
