The thing you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing what God wants. Then all these other things you need will be given to you. Matthew 6:33 (NCV)
It is easy to get our priorities out of order. We can easily get distracted with the day to day activities of life and forget that earth is not our final destination. We are spiritual beings in a temporary body. Our time on earth is very short compared to our eternal destiny.
As we keep our focus on our eternal home, it becomes easier to do what God wants and keep our priorities according to His plan. As we go about taking care of God’s stuff, He will take care of ours. He will watch over our lives making sure we have what we need. As we work for God first, the rest will follow.
