Good Deeds

Good Deeds

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” Ephesians 2:8-9 NLT

It’s easy to believe that our good deeds make a difference. They do in the lives of many that we meet and help. The Bible encourages us to care for others. The Bible tells us to help those in need.

All our good works do not save our soul. Salvation is a gift from God. It cannot be earned through our deeds. Jesus paid the price, so we could become part of the kingdom of God. It is up to us to accept the gift given to us.

Prayer: God, thank you for paying the price for my salvation. Thank you for the reminder that there is nothing I can do to earn the gift of salvation other than to accept it. Help me to share the good news of your salvation with others. In Jesus name. Amen.
