He Still Loves You

He Still Loves You

We all make mistakes or have something in our past that we’re not proud of. It could be that angry response that you posted on Facebook (that you now regret), verbally snapping at your spouse (instead of loving them like Christ loves you), being dishonest at work, or even telling those “little lies”. The Bible says, “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard” (Romans 3:23 NLT). When you mess up, you feel like sticking your head in the sand or hiding in the corner. Is there any hope for us when we mess up or does God just want to cast us away?

Here’s they key – God has new mercy for you every day! The Bible says, “The Lord’s love never ends; his mercies never stop. They are new every morning…” (Lamentations 3:22-23 NCV). Think about it…God loves you so much that he has a reserve of mercy and forgiveness just for you. No matter what you’ve done, He still loves you. When you were dishonest, He still loved you. When you told that lie yesterday, HE STILL LOVED YOU. Through Christ, you can brush yourself off, ask for forgiveness, and stand again!
