How Are Your Plans Coming?

How Are Your Plans Coming?

Jesus answered “…I know where I came from and I know where I am going.” John 8:14 (NIV)

To live a balanced life, consider the importance of a clear plan. Without a clear plan or set goal, how will you know when you’ve accomplished things you set out to do? Your purpose is clear when your goal is clear. Vague plans do not bring precise success. People feel great stress because they don’t know their purpose. Without a clear plan or goal set in advance, people tend to make plans under pressure and not by priority.

When thinking of a goal, your purpose, or setting your plan, remember this key: Duties never conflict with well-established priorities. Weigh your priorities. Consider this model: God first, Spouse then kids, then career. Your duties will help simplify your decisions and keep you on track.

Jesus was absolutely clear. Jesus came from the Father and was returning to the Father but while on earth His mission was to love people, to teach right living by God’s standards, and to defeat sin by death on a cross. Jesus’ priorities were God’s priorities. Jesus was never delayed or derailed from His God-given purpose.

This Week: Reflect on Jesus’ plan. Identify that nothing and no one stopped Jesus from His life mission. Consider creating a plan or goal for your life. Remember to align your purpose with God’s purpose for you.

Pray: Dear God, I’m not even sure where to start. I really need Your help. I want to live life on purpose. Help me to know what that looks like. Guide my thoughts and nudge me by Your Holy Spirit to prioritize my life so that I can honor You please. Thank You God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
