Knowing who you are can equal freedom. Becoming self-aware, knowing how you’re made, brings confidence. Lack of self-awareness can freeze us and stop us from fulfilling God’s purpose for our life. You must trust that God made you just right…your strengths and your weaknesses are by God’s design. Become comfortable with who you are…
Jesus knew who He was. Jesus was clear on His purpose.
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world…” John 8:12 (NIV)
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 (NIV)
Confidence allowed Jesus to do what He needed to do and to accomplish His purpose (bringing people to God through faith in Jesus). Jesus’ main purpose was to please the Father.
Prayer: Dear God, Please show me who You made me to be. Show me God, how You wired me and what my strengths and weaknesses are. I trust You made me just the way You wanted. Let me discover who I am and help me to live in every way that pleases You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
