I Have All I Need

I Have All I Need

Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 (NLT)

Each of us have things in our life, that if removed, would make our life much easier. We think, “If I just earned more money, if I had a better job, if my children behaved better, or if my past hadn’t been so damaging my life would be easier.” We tend to think of the troubles we face as something that will prevent us from being our best. We sometimes view these items as enough to keep us down.

But God can use these things to help others. He covers our shortcomings with His grace. At our weakest point, He is there to carry us through. In our weakness, we learn to trust and rely on Him more. When we come out on the other side of our situation, we can use our story to help others know that the grace of God is enough for them too!
