Influence Others for Good

Influence Others for Good

Christians need to influence others for good.  Do not let yourself be negatively influenced.  Pastor Jeff gave us the example of a thermometer and a thermostat.  One reflects what’s going on around it; the other sets what’s going on.

…Go out into the world uncorrupted, a breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society. Provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living God. Carry the light-giving Message Philippians 2:14-16 (MSG)

Be distinct and different in our culture.  Stand out like stars in a dark night sky.  Use your life to impact others for good.  Spread God’s message of love and forgiveness to those around you.  Leave a positive mark on the world and people around you.

I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. They do not belong to this world any more than I do. Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth. Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world.  John 17:15-18 (NLT)

The solution to our culture is not isolation.  It’s insulation and infiltration.  We need to go into the world and be effective to share the gospel.

God uses you.  God wants you to make a difference where you are, with those you connect to.  You’re here on earth to make an impact in someone’s life; to share the key to eternal life which is Jesus Christ.

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age… Titus 2:11-12 (NIV)

ASK YOURSELF:

What on Earth am I doing for Heaven’s sake?

Who am I bringing to Heaven with me?

Now Go!  Make a difference today.
