The Bible tells us that envy (or jealousy) is very corrosive to our life. It will rob us of our present because we are continually focused on what other people have. Feelings of jealousy will sometime stem from our desire to be at another place in our lives. So, we become jealous of others who have attained that level.
Rather than being jealous of others, rejoice when God blesses them. The Bible tells us that God does not show favoritism. He loves us all the same. God can bless you the same way that He blessed them. So, rejoice and be glad when God sends blessings into the lives of others. Think about this verse for a few minutes. Are you jealous of your family, friends, co-workers, etc.? How can you change your attitude toward the blessings in their life?
