We all “miss the mark” due to sin. We are born separated from God. The price for sin is death. God made the rule that sin has a price to pay. God’s justice demands payment for sin.
Boy is this hard! God knows us – our past and present. God knows our wrongs. Yet, God’s love drove God to make our wrongs right. God’s plan for the cross fulfills God’s justice and love.
Many people believe the facts about Jesus’ death and resurrection. Still many people reject Jesus. Many people know religion, but don’t know God.
The Bible promises: But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12 (NLT)
We have to receive the gift of eternal life. Jesus paid the price for our sin, but Jesus doesn’t force it on us. Is today the day that you accept Jesus? Say the simple prayer below to invite Jesus into your life.
Pray: God, I admit I’ve been living my own way, sometimes I try, but I know I’m a sinner. I believe Jesus died, rose again, and paid the price in full. Jesus, I invite You into my life—be the boss and Lord of my life. Give me Your hope and help me to show love to the world around me. Amen.
