We have all seen a toddler learning to walk. They are shaky on their feet as they take their first few steps then stumble and fall. As they are learning, they are encouraged by those around them to keep trying. As they continue to get back up, their walking continues to improve. Although they may still fall along the way, it becomes less and less often.
The same thing happens with us during our Christian walk. With Christ on our side, we can never fail. If we make a mistake, all we need to do is ask forgiveness and he is faithful to forgive us. He already paid the price for our mistakes so we can live a victorious life. Even though we may stumble along the way, he encourages us to keep on getting up and try again.
For though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again. Proverbs 24:16 (NIV)
