Contentment is more than just a feeling; it is a choice. Feelings come and go, but you must make a conscious choice to be content with enough. We can choose to constantly pursue more and never find contentment or we can choose to live within God’s limits. There are more than 600 commandments in the bible. The references below relate to some of those commandments and illustrate how to live within the limits established by God. These limits are for your benefit.
Here are three areas to live within limits:
•6 days of work per week –give a day to God & to rest.
•90% of income –give a tenth to my Source & Provider
•One sexual partner –give my love to my spouse alone
Action Step: If you have not been living within God’s limits, make the choice to start today. Choose to be content with enough and not continue to pursue more than you need.
