Many Witnesses

Many Witnesses

Christ died for our sins. . . . he was buried. . . . he was raised. . . . he appeared to more than 500 brothers at one time. . . . 1 Corinthians 15:3-6 (ESV)

The story of Jesus’ life and resurrection was not kept a secret. He spent time with people both during His life and after His death. He ate with sinners (because He didn’t come to call righteous people, but sinners – Matthew 9:13), He had close friends, and stood his ground against the enemy. There were many witnesses to His life, but His story doesn’t end there.

We are also witnesses to His life. As Christians, we have encountered the love of God. We know Jesus lived, died and rose again. We may not have seen Him in person, but we know He lives. Now we need to be a witness for Him to those around us. We need to demonstrate His love to those in need. We need to proclaim He is still alive!
