There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 (NIV)
Each of us has a unique combination of gifts. We are better at some things than others. We can do some things better than other people. We may be skilled at organizing people, things or tasks. We may be good at encouraging or praying for others. We may be good at fixing things. These different gifts are from God to help others around us. Our strengths are not just for ourselves, but to demonstrate God’s love to the people we see everyday.
Prayer:
God, thank you for the strengths you have blessed me with. Help me to find a way to use them to build your kingdom. Show me who I can help today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
