God…gave us new lives from Christ; and long ago He planned that we should spend these lives in helping others. Ephesians 2:10 (LB)
This verse reveals two important facts: God gave us a new life and we should use that new life to help others. In John 3, Jesus tells us that we should be “born again.” When you accept Christ into your life, you become part of the body of Christ (the family of believers around the globe) and you receive eternal life. When you ask for forgiveness, the bible tells us in Psalm 103 that God will remove your sins from you as far as the east is from the west. Now that you have this new life, use it to be a blessing to other people. Tell them about Christ, help them across the finish line, and be encouraging to other people.
Prayer: God, thank you for giving me a new life. Thank you Father for sending your Son to die for my sins. Give me a heart of compassion to help those around me. Help me to show the love of Christ to all people wherever I go. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
