Passion

Passion

“During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.” Hebrews 5:7-9 (NIV)

Have you ever met someone who was passionate about the topic they were speaking about? They not only knew the topic, but they spoke with conviction. They would get excited any time they discussed it, and the excitement spread to others. You could tell they believed in the topic they were discussing.

Our prayer life can be the same way. When we are passionate and committed to what we are praying for, God eagerly listens to us. He wants to bless and take care of his children. Our passion helps us stay committed to what we are believing for.

Prayer: God, thank you for hearing my prayers. Help me to pray with passion. Help me find the areas in my life that mean the most to me because of how you created me. In Jesus name. Amen.
