Protect Your Body

Protect Your Body

Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 (NLT)

We need to protect our bodies from sexual sin. Sex is a gift from God. God’s original plan for sexual intimacy is in the confines of marriage. Sexual immorality gives away a piece of yourself to each partner. But sexual immorality is not just a physical thing. It can also be a matter of the heart and mind. Jesus tells us that looking on a person and wanting to sin with them sexually is the same as doing it (Matthew 5:27-28). It is time we protect our bodies.

Next Steps:
Examine your life. Is there an area of sexual sin in your life that needs to be addressed? Put boundaries in place to help guard you from sexual sin, such as an accountability partner to help you stay on track.
