Put It into Practice

Put It into Practice

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.  Matthew 7:24-28 (NIV)

The key point behind this verse is that it’s important to hear and do God’s Word (the Bible).   When you both hear and put into practice God’s Word, you will be like a wise man who built his house upon a rock.  When you are planted on a firm foundation you will be able to stand when the storms of life beat against your house.  In contrast, a foolish person builds their house upon sand (or things that are unstable in life).  What type of foundation is your house built on?  Begin hearing and doing God’s Word today.
