True Connection

True Connection

If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 1 Corinthians 12:26-27 (NIV)

Have you ever had a friend that no matter what is happening in your life, they are always there for you? If you have a bad breakup, they are at your door with ice cream and a shoulder to cry on. If you get a promotion at work, they are the first to call and congratulate and ask how you want to celebrate. Whatever it is, you know your friend will be there for you in exactly the way that you need them. This is how Jesus wants us to treat one another- to be there for each other in our best and worst times.

As Christians, we are connected as the body of Christ. We have the opportunity to make deep connections with each other, not only mentally and emotionally, but also spiritually. When someone comes to accept Jesus, we can rejoice with them and help guide them on their journey. When someone strays from their walk with God, we can be there to help them get back on the path and encourage them. This is what true connection to Christ and to each other really looks like.
