We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. Life is filled with problems and trials. The Bible does not say “if” we run into problems and trials, it says “when”. God knows that we will encounter struggles in life. He also reminds us to rejoice as we go through them. These situations are developing us. We will gain endurance, strength of character and confidence in our salvation. We know that God loves us and will be there to help us through. We are all under development.
Prayer:
God, thank you that you love me. Help me to remember to rejoice as I run into problems and trials. I can be confident in the hope of my salvation. I can know that these situations are developing me so I look more like you. Thank you that you love me and want to strengthen my character. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
