I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 1:19-20 (NLT)
Sometimes we experience things that we don’t understand. It could be a new experience or one that is more complex than you can comprehend at first. As we learn more about what we experienced it may help us to better understand it. We may need to dig a little deeper into what happened to help us understand it more.
The same applies to the greatness of God’s power. God’s ways are higher and greater than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). We may not fully understand His greatness and His mighty power, but we can ask for His wisdom and God will give it to us (James 1:5). We can learn to understand His greatness and the power that raised Christ from the dead.
Prayer: God, I know that your mighty power raised Christ from the dead. I want to understand your incredible greatness. Teach me today about your greatness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
