Life around us can be very busy. We have families to take care of and jobs to perform. There are household chores to take care of and other responsibilities to address. We can spend much of our time doing things for ourselves and others but not value time away from the noise. Jesus set the perfect example. He spent time taking care of others but He also made sure to take time to go to a solitary place and pray. We need to value the quiet.
Prayer: God, thank you for the reminder that I need to spend time alone with you. Help me to make my quiet time alone with you a priority. Show me things I need to change. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
