We Have Confident Hope

We Have Confident Hope

For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all of God’s people, which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this expectation ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News. Colossians 1:4-5 (NLT)

When we remember that God is for us, helping us, and working in us, we can truly lay a foundation of confidence that transcends our own self-perception and self-confidence, only strengthening those from a place of truth. God wants to give us a confident hope for salvation and we, as Christians, can have that hope of what God has reserved for us in heaven. When we hear the Good News of the Gospel and believe in the truth of Christ, we gain more than confidence – we gain eternity.

Have you placed your faith in Jesus? If not, perhaps today is the day to do so. How do you think your life would change as a follower of Jesus? If you have placed your faith in Jesus, reflect on how both you and your life have changed since becoming a Christian. In what ways do you think you are still growing?
