…Being confident of this, that [God] who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6 (NIV)
When we follow Christ, we know that we are going to be changed by the Holy Spirit working in us. We can be confident in God as He will carry these changes to completion in us. He has begun good works in us when we accepted Him into our lives and He will never abandon us or these good works. We can trust that God will see His plans through.
Prayer: Lord, allow me to see the good works you have begun in me, and allow me to follow them faithfully. Let my confidence in you grow as I reflect on the good things that have been worked in me already, and let me trust fully that more will come. Let this trust help me to be more confident in your promises and help me grow in faith. Amen.
