As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.” Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” Matthew 14:13-16 (NIV)
The world is full of problems. We are surrounded by people in need – physically, emotionally and spiritually. They are in need of help. God provided a solution to the problems we see. It is us. As the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27), we are God’s hands and feet in the earth. We are here to accomplish the work He has sent us to do. We need to remind ourselves that we have been sent to make a difference.
Prayer:
God, thank you for reminding me that I am your hands and feet in the earth. Show me who I need to feed today – whether physically, emotionally or spiritually. Help me to be the change in the world that you sent me to be. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
