As Christians, we have the best, most joyful news ever announced – the news of Jesus! God sent His only son to the world so that we could have life – life in all its fullness.
If we had needed money, God would have sent an accountant or an economist. If we had needed entertainment, He would have sent a comedian or an entertainer. If we had needed technology, he would have sent a scientist. But what we needed was salvation. What we needed was fullness of life. What we needed was forgiveness. So God sent His son to save us.
What amazing, incredible news! What joyful news! Through the free gift of Jesus, we are set free and our sins our forgiven! What could be more joyful!
Prayer: God, thank you for the amazing gift of Jesus. During this Christmas season, help me to open my heart to the gift of Jesus and the joy that comes with this incredible gift. May I open myself to the joy and happiness that comes with being a Christian and accepting the open gift of happiness that you offer. Amen.
