Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8 (NIV)
God loved us so much that He gave (John 3:16). Those who don’t show love, don’t know God because He is love (1 John 4:8). We can love because God first loved us (1 John 4:19). God calls us to show the same love He has shown us to other people. God gave His all to show His love for us and He wants us to do the same.
As we show love to other people, we begin to forget about their flaws. Our love for them will help us overlook the times they unintentionally hurt us. Our love for them will help them know the love of God.
Prayer:
God, thank you that you first loved me. Help me to show your love to those around me, even when I don’t feel like loving them. Help me to be an example of your love in the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
