The work we do is not just about us. While God uses it for us, it is also there to benefit others. God blesses us through the work of our hands so we can be a blessing to others. Our generosity need not only be in financial help. It can be donating our time and talents to help someone in need. We can help a struggling neighbor mow their lawn. We can help the single parent we know by offering to watch their children so they can have a much needed break. We can help by surprising someone by taking them a meal after they are released from the hospital. We can help by mentoring someone in an area we are skilled at. Be generous today!
Prayer: God, thank you for reminding me to be generous. Show me who I can bless today. Give me the courage to step out of my comfort zone and give generously to others in need. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
