Driven By Eternity – Part 2

Driven By Eternity – Part 2

Yesterday we learned to live intentionally, driven by eternity, we need to give what we have (and not what we don’t have) and serve others with our time, talents, and resources.  The third and most significant piece of living intentionally driven by eternity is to share Christ with others.

We are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us.

2 Corinthians 5:20 (NLT)

“’…go out into the country…and urge anyone you find to come in, so that My house will be full.’”  Luke 14:23 (LB)

God wants His heaven full.

Jesus said to His followers, “Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone.”  Mark 16:15 (NCV)

Sharing Jesus is the GOOD NEWS.  As Believers, we are to share the Good News and not bad news.  In today’s culture, it may be uncommon and even unpopular to share our faith.  But as Believers, we need to fear (reverence/respect) the LORD more than man’s opinion.  In fact, begin with prayer.  Ask God who needs to hear your story of faith and belief in Jesus Christ?  Open your eyes, ears and heart to truly listen for the story behind the stories you share with friends, neighbors, and co-workers.  The Holy Spirit will reveal to you who you should share Christ with.  The Bible says God goes before us and makes a way.

Pray and ask God to give you the eyes, ears, and heart to truly listen.

Dear God – I need Your Holy Spirit to nudge me.  Point out who needs to hear my story of Your story.  I need boldness and confidence to share my journey with You.  I need NOT to care what others may think or how they may react.  I need to obey You because I want to be intentional and driven by eternity.  LORD, if I had one person in heaven because of my story, I would want (put your friend or relative’s name here) to be in heaven because of me.  Please give me the words to say for their salvation and Your glory.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
