Encourage People with Your Actions

Encourage People with Your Actions

So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NLT)

Yesterday we discussed the idea of encouraging people with our words.  In today’s post we are focusing on encouraging people with our actions.  The verse above says that we should encourage each other and build each other up.  The phrase “build each other up” refers to an action on our part.  When is the last time you did something kind to encourage someone?  Your encouraging actions could consist of buying flowers for your spouse, writing a note to a friend, or preparing that special meal your spouse enjoys.  Here is the key – those actions that you use to encourage others should not be reserved for special occasions.  We should get into the habit of encouraging others with our actions on a frequent basis.  If you think of something good to do for someone…do it!  How can you encourage others with your actions today?
