God Keeps His Promises

God Keeps His Promises

This vision is for a future time.  It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled.  If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.  It will not be delayed.  Habakkuk 2:3 (NLT)

After placing an order at a fast food restaurant, do you ever doubt that the employees will be able to prepare your food as you arrive at the drive-thru window?  No!  We typically trust that these employees (whom we’ve never met) will be able to prepare our food as ordered.  We don’t question the process, but instead we wait patiently for the product to be produced.

The Bible tells us that the vision (the thing you are expecting) will surely take place.  The key here is that we know God.  We know that God will keep His promises.  We know that God is dependable and what His Word (the Bible) tells us is true.  As a result, we need to wait patiently for the thing we are expecting.  If it seems slow to arrive (even if it takes months), wait patiently for it – it will happen!  How do you maintain your confidence as you are waiting?  Continue to read God’s Word daily as a reminder of His promises to you.

God is no mere human!  He doesn’t tell lies or change his mind.  God always keeps his promises. Numbers 23:19 (CEV)
