We may think we know what is right, but the Lord is the judge of our motives. Proverbs 16:2 (CEV)
Each of us have reasons for doing the things we do. It may be to impress others or to make ourselves feel better. It may be out of obedience to God. No matter what our reason is, God looks at our motives. He looks at our heart instead of the outward signs of our actions. With God, it’s a heart thing.
Prayer:
God, thank you for loving me. Thank you for reminding me that you look at my heart. Help me to have pure motives in all that I say and do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
