“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8 (NIV)
God is love (1 John 4:8). We were created out of the overflow of God’s love. God loved us enough to send his Son to cover our sins. Based on this example, we can choose to love each other deeply. We can choose to realize everyone, including us, makes mistakes. We can choose to look past their faults and see the good in them. We can choose to believe what they did was without malicious intent but could be done out of their past hurts.
Prayer: God, thank you for loving me, even when my attitude seems unlovable. Help me to show your love to others. Help me to love deeply those you have placed in my life. In Jesus name. Amen.
