You Only Live Twice

You Only Live Twice

“Everyone must die once, and after that be judged by God.” Hebrews 9:27 (GNT)

This life is one hundred percent terminal – no one makes it out alive. But this life was always meant to be temporary. Psalm 103:15-16 reminds us that our days are like the grass and that we will eventually be no more. This world is not our permanent home, and we are looking forward to our home yet to come (Hebrews 13:14). Once we leave this temporary life, we will have a new home in eternity. We will either move to heaven or hell depending on our decision to let Jesus become Lord of our lives or not. You only live twice – choose how you live wisely.

Prayer: God, thank you for the reminder that this life is temporary. I choose today to make Jesus the Lord of my life. I am a sinner saved by your grace. I accept your free gift of salvation. Help me to live a life focused on you with a view into eternity. In Jesus name. Amen.
